築58年の木造町家を、カフェ、ギャラリー、事務所の集合体としてコンバージョンした。建物が元々持っていた雰囲気を最大限活かして、居心地のいい空間となることをねらった。コストをおさえながら、必要な補強と最低限の改装を施し、最大限の効果を引き出している。前の住人から譲り受けた年代物の家具たちが、新品の家具には絶対に出すことのできない深みを空間に与えている。

We converted 58-year-old wooden house as a collection of cafes, galleries and offices. We made comfortable space by taking full advantage of the atmosphere that the building originally had. While minimizing costs, we provide the necessary reinforcement and minimum refurbishment to maximize effectiveness. The old furniture taken over from previous residents gives the space a depth that can not be put out for new furniture.
